St. Brigid's Day

'Tis the feast of St. Brigid, the Nun of Kildare; patroness of cattle and those who own and tend them, of the fire and hearth, a great miracle worker - providing not only healings of the body but sustenance - famous for miraculous productions of milk and even beer! I commend my mother and her illness to... the discerning heart of her who is the "Mary of the Gael."

It's a new season - the Irish Spring called Imbolc - so I will try to start blogging again on a regular basis.
