One More Time....

And so I'm going to try to start up this blog again.

News about my knee: I continue to improve, and can finally genuflect again, with support.  I will be starting with a trainer at the Zanesville Fieldhouse this week.  My weight is going down again, I hope to keep this up by adding, in addition to my workouts at the Fieldhouse, by using my Total Gym regularly in my room.  Getting out into the woods would be a real help.  I see squirrel shooting at least in my future.

Terrorists attacked soft targets in Paris last Friday, and everyone is in a rage against the Islamic terrorists of Daesh.  I very seldom agree with the president of these United States, but I do agree with him when he says it is very hard to stop people who are willing to die.  This is why the person who believes in a heaven will win out over those who live only for this life.  The one who lives only for this life inevitably loses it, but will fight like an animal to preserve what he has, and if he cannot, will negotiate some sort of peace to hold on to what he possesses.   The one who lives in hope of heaven can throw away the goods of this world confident in the indestructible goods of the world to come.  In the long run,  the secular world will not be able to negotiate a peace with the religious hearts who are willing to die for God and for the sake of the world to come.  That's true for Moslem terrorists and Christian martyrs.
