I started a new progress today for growing into an exercise program. I'm woefully out of physical shape, and need to get back into it. So I am trying a suggestion I received from a friend, of doing a single plank each day for 1 minute for a month. . If I cannot do 1 full minute at a regular full plank,( which is the situation I am in) , I will do an inclined plank, using the staircase outside my door and three of its steps to provide an alternative exercise which I can keep to failure. Yesterday, I made 30 seconds of full plank and 1 minute 10 seconds of an incline plank.
Today I did better. I did 50 seconds of a full Plank, and 2 minutes 10 seconds of the inclined plank.
One of my trainers in the past told me that doing more than two minutes for the full plank, is “ just showing off”.
I think I can get to 1 minute by tomorrow, with the help of God.
Sleep is also much better. I'm trying to be on the bed by 9 and, with the help of God, asleep by at least 10. My Fitbit application is registering, finally, “ good sleep” for me.
My daily step quota is down, but I just have to get back on the treadmill.
At length I will eventually get the Total Gym going. I hope for 3 days a week of strength training..
